Do people over 12 still get excited by snow?

A little bit of snow and the whole country goes crackers.

This country is pathetic when it comes to dealing with bad weather.

Tell me about it. There's literally me and the receptionist in the office at the moment. I'm going home if it carries on!

Been at the hospital all morning and some of their staff walked for miles because there is no public transport. If they can get into work then everybody else should too.

I never had a snow day at school and I only left in 2005, health and safety my arse!

I got from Preston to central Manchester with no problems whatsoever.

People who can't get into work/education because of a few inches of snow are clearly layabouts who should be lined up and shot.

There were a few (including me) late in, but EVERYBODY made it into work today.

But I did have to send everyone home early (3.30) because the couriers couldn't make the later pick up!

Absolutely no snow near me whatsoever....  Got to work at normal time (745am) and left at normal time (415pm).

Far cry from a week before Christmas when we had snow - only 2 trains an hour instead of 10 and taking up top 2 hours to get to work instead of 1!!!

Will we get a youtube video of you dog being buried by the shed roof snow?

Natasha, you don't have to be a child to get excited about snow.  I love the stuff.  I'm sure there are people that get excited about a hot sunny day, too.

I envy everyone their snow and extra time off work.  Enjoy it and stay safe.

To be honest with you, it's all getting quite boring now. I live just over 4 miles south of Turf Moor, but I'm approx. 400m higher up!

We got a heavy snowfall on Tuesday 15th December (about 5 inches) and that snow hasn't had chance to thaw and all the subsequent snowfalls are now lying on top of each other.

There's now around 2 feet of snow in my back garden, but it does keep my 4 yr old daughter happy: who still can't go back to school, because that's closed too!

There is also no 540 bus running from Bolton to Wigan but there is a 582 bus running from Bolton to Leigh via Atherton.

That's me sorted then. Shame I drive.  Cool

Been out this morning and the 501 is running for all you Farnworth and Moss Bank people, so get to work!

Services in Bolton are still badly disrupted due to the weather. There will be no bins emptied on Wednesday and there is no 524 bus running to Bury via Radcliffe. The 519 bus is terminating at Moss Bank Way rather than Johnson Fold and there is currently no bus serving the 510 route to Bury via Ainsworth. The 471 bus is only running from Bury to Rochdale, there is no 471 service between Bolton and Bury. This is a bad day for the 524,510 and 471 buses to be disrupted because Bury Market is open on Wednesday.

Why does the above post make me think I have seen it elsewhere on another forum (non-football realted!!!) - or just a case of deja vu?

well buses 142, 145, 170 and 172 are running as well as trams 1, 2, 5 16 and 24 - so that means I am at work Tongue

Ahh the 540... never lets you down does it?!

Again I was not delayed getting into work... is Hull the only place where roads are actually gritted?
