I beleive he wont jump the ship and leave the job unfinished, if he leaves now he will always wonder would i have kept burnley up if i stayed? which would be a MASSIVE acheivement if he does and be loved and remembered as a legend at Burnley. If he leaves now all the hard work at Burnley would end bitterly, i dont beleive thats his character.
I can't believe I'm saying this Sir Nut as I know it's impossible, but please get into the real world. It doesn't matter if you're cleaning the bogs on Astley Park or have your own talk show on primetime BBC, if someone comes along and doubles your salary you move jobs. It's called life. I bet Celtic offered lower wages

Be fair to Sir Nut, he's having a bad day. His anti SKD rants have been laughed off another forum, he is still in mourning for what he recently described as a brilliant manager, and he is now backtracking on his absolute certainty that Owen wont be coming to us. Where was he when I needed him? Got an urgent call just before Xmas and I could have done with getting to Stafford from Bolton in about 25 minutes. Only one man I know up to that job. For 1 its not anti SKD rants its seeing whats wrong and hoping the manager puts it right, Kevin Davies can be even more effective coming of the bench if where 1 or 2 0 down and where chasing the game or there sitting deep. If it was anti SKD rants i would say sell him he's useless. Wanderer ways is full of people up there own ass who cant take someone being more in depth about football than them, that site is absolute shambles full of idiots. We need a ignore user button on this site so i can actually come on here without being trolled on everytime i post.

What a load of nonsense. Look at it like this. Bolton a former club who's fans love him come in for him, an established Premiership team offering him more money, have a far stronger team, have a beautiful stadium, will probably give him some transfer funds in January, is he really going to turn that down? oh dear I don't like your tone. What is it with you, do you like hospital food or something? You are talking stupid, you think there is no chance of Owen Coyle coming to Bolton, what are you banging on about? Now don't get smart with any more replies to me sunshine. You are out of your depth. I am a big man with a short fuse. Now unless you want to end up in a suitcase floating in the Irish Sea, I'd keep your cake hole shut for a bit. Comprende? I couldnt care if you was Bruce Lee. Coyle wont be going nowhere. Why are you saying this? It is practically a done deal and you are talking like its got no chance. I am going to make you look a fool showing your posts on this next week when its all been sealed.

Fantastic news! Double negative anyone? Stop taking it so personally Nat it's only a forum. If people disagree with your opinion I'm afraid that's part and parcel of the place. You actually do sound you don't want him to come though, not that you don't believe he will. If I'm wrong would it kill you to have a bit of optimism when there's no evidence either for OR against the story?

There's not much more you can do to please the likes of Sir N. Lofthouse other than putting straw down for them.

Getting back to the topic... I think Owen Coyle would be a great appointment, however, there is the question if he wants to come, and if Burnley will let him.
If that fails then I would still be very happy with Alan Curbishley.

Me too; though I think that his experience makes him the better punt in the first place.
