Since someone's posted best TV of the decade, I thought I'd take it to another category and do Band/Singer.

My music tastes change with mood however, the following have kept my interest through the decade:

1.  Muse
2.  Coldplay
3.  Oasis

I do like loads of stuff I hear on the radio, but have to admit that I don't really know who the feck sings half of it!

Really liked Arctic Monkeys first album, but the second one wasn't up to much.

Kings of Leon and Snow Patrol predictably.

Shocking, shocking band. They're the Zat Knight of the music industry... absolutely talentless but still at the top of their 'profession'. However, if you're talking about 'impact' rather than your favourite band, I suppose they are up there for cracking America and all that (still amazes me how people like their stuff).

He's actually far more talented than either of Brookstein or Jackson.

Right Buster, i'm going to have to counter that Gareth Gates card with my Michelle McManus card then!

Michelle McManus is a BIG card to play so early. I'll counter with a Shane Ward.

Or anyone from One True Voice

And if it's BIG cards we're playing: Rik "Fats" Waller

Going completely off topic. Have you ever seen the other film? It is the Withnail plot, just badly filmed.

It was screened at what was the 'old mother balck cap' about 5 years back. I vaguely remember meeting the writer and thought he was English? I was smashed at the time though.

Wasn't it the producers that were yanks?

Nope, not me.  I've never seen Withnail and I.  Oh, and I'm not American.  I'm English/Bolton, just living in the USA.

Me personally Oasis have had a very good live decade!

Wembley in 2000 & 2009, Finsbury Park 2002, Glasto in '04, Heaton Park in '09, V Fest in '05 and '09 (well half at least).

They also played at City, Murrayfield, Hampden, Slane, Old Trafford Cricket Ground and sold out arenas too all over Europe, America, Asia etc.

Shows that the fanbase has stayed right until the bitter end despite what some might say is a decline in their popularity!

Also like to add 4 number one albums, 9 top three singles including 4 number ones!

Also Arctic Monkeys have done very well as a band, very successful in the studio & charts and now playing live around the world.

David Sneddon's got to be high on the list.

That wins because i've no idea who he is and had to wikipedia him to confirm we are still on about talent show contestant winners.

I've stumbled upon a winner to this debate those kids tv presenters Sam and Mark lost in a final to Michelle McManus. They've got to be up there.
