Lubomir Michalik has left Bolton Wanderers and signed a permanent deal at League 1 side Leeds United.

The Slovakian international impressed former boss Dennis Wise after a successful loan spell last season, and new manager Gary McAllister had no hesitation about taking the 24-year-old back to the club.

Michalik leaves for an undisclosed fee and will be hoping to push Leeds towards promotion this season.

Since signing for Bolton 12 months ago, Lubo made 17 appearances for Wanderers and scored one goal, which came in last seasons 2-2 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Quite surprising considering we only have Cahill, Meite and O'Brien as recognised centre-halves. He was a solid player but a bit too slow for the Premiership in my opinion. Good luck to him at Leeds anyway

Aye no hard feelings, decent player but we have better options at this level.

A step down the divisions will be good for him.

Article in Bolton News suggest that Megson rates Fojut and thats the reason he let Lubo go. Nice to see that another youngster could be coming through after he got excellent reports when he came back from Luton

To be honest, whenever I've seen Fojut play I've been impressed more often than not.

Got a mate who's a Luton fan, apparantly he seems solid enough but is a little lightweight. They wanted to keep him until the end of the season but couldn't because they were in administration.

If he gets pushed off the ball too easily in League 1, the Premier League will be too big a step up at this moment but he does looks like the next one that could break through.
