Stupid US government changes ours a couple of years ago, so now we change our clocks the first Sunday in November.  However, that totally screws up my alarm clock 2 times a year because it automatically changes the last Sunday in October, so I have to reset it today and then manually change it next weekend.  Angry

This gets repeated again in the spring, too.  Angry

What's the thinking behind that Wendy? To extend summer by a week? I love the extra hour in bed but how much more convenient would it be to have it on a Monday morning rather than Sunday?

Unfortunately the cockrels in the peak district didn't appear to notice I was deserving of another hour in bed, but waking up in the countryside so early was a nice enough change from getting up for work!

This concept of putting the clock an hour forward then a hour back is totally pointless.....we end up back at the same time as when we started just out watches are fucked up and confused.

Are there any Crofters left in Scotland anyway?
It's a ridiculous idea & should be scrapped. You didn't get an extra hour in bed, you lost it some time earlier in the year, remember?

I wish I could say that at 6.30 in the morning instead of going to freeze to death on those trains at Bromley Cross.

Go to SportsDirect and buy a snow jacket, sorted.

Oh no I can sympathise with our Rasiak here. Only difference is for me it's at half 8 and its cold enough then but at least its daylight.

Oh, and another thing is that I now get the 6am, 4pm and 10pm Sky sports news instead of the 7am, 5pm and 11 pm - which I prefer.

The point of extending daylight savings is supposed to make it safer to drive as for that extra week or two in the spring it will be light earlier.  They also thought it would be safer for kids trick or treating as it would still be somewhat light; however, the kids just go out later so it is dark and more scarey/fun.

There is no point to it unless you live on a farm and get up/go to bed with the rising/setting of the sun.

Nah, doesn't work.

I had this furry blazer last year, and it was still freezing.

The best indoctination I have heard with regards as to why we keep changing times is from a friend over here in Holland.

It is more cost-effective and more importantly that hour earlier means there will be less enegry consumption used for the whole day - it a green thing (or to put it another way they are now using so-called Global Warming as an excuse to keep changing the clocks!!!)

what excuse will be next?Huh
