Brilliant signing in my opinion, although Spurs will be laughing with the money they've got for him!

Torres and Keane up front, will trouble many defences that next season.

If Berbatov goes to United aswell Spurs could be a real force if they spend the money wisely.

agreed. torres-keane partnership is potentially 40 league goals, but 18million is so over the odds, Keane is now 28 i would say half that price would be a good deal for spurs. Get the impression Liverpool 'Panic Purchased' because the likelyhood of a David Villa deal looked slim.

Not sure what Spurs are going for upfront next year Giovani Dos Santos is the more of an attacking midefielder so if Berbatov is sold only leave Darren Bent. So 30mil for Berbatov, 18mil for Robbie Keane, 48mil to get a completetly new front line. the 4 of Dos santos, Luka Modric and the 2 new forwards will be interesting

Good signing for em and will form a potentially lethal partnership with Torres but paid way over the odds. I guess thats just how stupid its getting now.

I can see Spurs going in for someone like Santa Cruz to replace Keane, not a clue who they'd get if they lost Berbatov aswell though.

With the skill they have in behind the forwards they might not need to replace Berbatov if he went. A decent striker to replace Keane might do with Dos Santos and Modric pushing on.

Modric was one of the standouts in a very disappointing Euro's for me. Don't forget they've got Bent aswell who given the chance will get them goals.

Oh, didnt you know, according to all their fans, he's almost certain to sign for Sunderland cos they're such a huge club who are going on to achieve great things Wink

Just seen on Sky Sports that he scored 4 against Norwich last night. If he's on his way he's just put his price up by another few million!

When Darren Bent was at Charlton, he was brilliant, and its very difficult to score alot of goals in a struggling team who don't create many chances. wasn't given enough opportunities last season IMO, but filling the void left by Keane and possibly berbatov, not sure if hes up to that standard

Good signing but they've paid way over the odds for him. I mean, he's no better than Anelka and we only got £15m for him. £10m at most for Keane I reckon.

I think you're underating him a bit there, although not worth 20mill or watever ridiculous fee they've just paid, id say he's worth around the same as Anelka, so 15mill. I think its just the fact that Spurs are a "bigger" club so they can command a higher fee for their better players than we can for ours.

Seen today that Spurs want Arshavn from Zenit. Would be a fantastic replacement IMO.

When we played Zenit a couple of years ago I was very impressed with him then until the pitch turned into a swimming pool. Was brilliant in the Euros aswell, would love to have him at Bolton.
