I'd have taken him a couple of years ago but not now. An ageing fatso who spends more time on the treatment table than Ricardo Vaz Te, no thanks!

Once again manny you just make things up to suit your point.

Viduka has recently lost a stone and a half and is at his fittest ever. He's a proven Prem player who would be a better bet than Elmander to score a goal before Christmas.

In fact, I'll have you a bet that Viduka scores a Prem goal before Elmander.

If he's at his fittest ever, why has nobody else signed him up then? Even the Aussie league sides aren't after him.

IMO Viduka is still a quality player, he has just been very unlucky with injuries. I wouldnt mind having him although would he be willing to take a wage cut? Im not too sure...
A wage cut,he is a free agent he aint getting a wage.

I agree , get him in.

KLASNIC has fitness problems, ELMO couldn't hit a barn door, and KEVVYWEVVY will get 10 goals at most.

True but he was earning loads at Newcastle so no doubt he would want to go to a club that offers a similiar wage to what he had at Newcastle which pretty much rules us out!

RLG - Kevin Nolan went down with Newcastle and our Gary wanted him back. I think Viduka is cerainly worth a shot, as he is a proven goalscorer with shedloads of Prem experience, so would need no bedding in period. Jan Vennegor of Hesselink (that's one hell of a name, by the way!  Tongue) would also have been a pretty good shout, but Hull have snapped him up on a free. I recall BSA trying to sign him before he went to Celtic - if memory serves, he was reputed to have signed a pre-contract with us and went to Celtic anyway? I don't know which other free agents are available that could supply any of the badly-needed craft that our Gary said he wanted, so we'll go with what we have, I suppose.

You might be confusing him with Dado Prso who went to Rangers the year before.

It was claimed he broke an agreement we had with him by doing that.

So all along I've been pissed at the wrong guy? Bloody hell...  Tongue I'm right that Dietmar Hamman signed for us and begged off to go to City though? I've been pissed at him as well!

I seem to recall us being after V of H at one stage, but nothing along the lines of a pre-contract was ever agreed.

NOTE: This thread will close at midnight tonight.
