Got this from the official site.

Quote
WOULD YOU like to sponsor a player for Barclays Premier League 2008/09 season?

We have some great names still available for sponsorship including Ali Al-Habsi, Tamir Cohen, Heidar Helguson, Nicky Hunt, Gavin McCann, Andy O'Brien,

PACKAGE A

- Your player's signed framed shirt at the end of the season.

- Advertisement in every Home edition of Bolton Wanderers match day programme.

- Sponsorship acknowledgement on the video screen, every home game during the season.

- Your Website linked from your player's profile page

- Pitchside photograph of you and your player during the season*

- Free Gift

Total cost for season £1000 & VAT.

PACKAGE B

- Your player's signed shirt at the end of the season.

- Advertisement in every Home edition of Bolton Wanderers match day programme.

- Sponsorship acknowledgement on the video screen, every home game during the season.

- Your Website linked from your player's profile page

- Pitchside photograph of you and your player during the season*

Total cost for season £800 & VAT.

Package B is £200 cheaper and the only difference I can see is the free gift isn't included. Surely that means the "free" gift isn't free!  Roll Eyes

The one 'sponsor' that has always stood out for me is LOUISE AND STEPHEN FISH.

I mean, they sponsor a player every year. Who are these two mystery people? Do they have money to burn or something?!

You can sponsor an academy player for £250. I'd rather do that.

I sponsor a player and the difference between the packages are, previously, for the extra £200 you got tickets for the player of the year awards bash at the end of season,  last year this was cancelled and they had to refund the monies, so now they have reworded it.  if they have another season like last, they can just give you a players mug or something !!!

Player of the year ceremony always sounds like a waste of time anyway. From the stories I hear it's just an excuse for Gartside to get bladdered.

They didn't have one last season. It's usually the night of the last game.

Only one I remember was The Bolton News, Andy O'Brien won it. Junior Whites was Davies I think. He also won the "Player Your Mum Fancies The Most Award" I was told.

Davo won our vote aswell. Has to be the biggest honour of his career! Cheesy

He got a few more than 2 votes.

2 was probably enough to win it the season before last.

I voted for Andy O'Brien, I think without him we would have been in the Championship now.
