Today I am ashamed to be British.

Last week we were letting train robber Ronnie Biggs out of prison on compassionate grounds and today we've let terrorist bomber Abdelbaset Ali al-Megrahi fly home to Libya for the same "compassionate grounds".

Once again we are a complete soft touch. Yeah, it's fine to kill 250 people...spend a few years in jail and then we'll send you home to your family so you can be treated as a hero.

Life should start meaning life. So what if you get a terminal disease. I hope you die a slow painful death you murdering wanker.

Fair play to you then if you're willing to share your knickers with a willy.

Natasha, have you read Theodore Dalrymple?
Many of your posts have a similar theme. I'd recommend checking out his regular column for the City Journal

He also had a tongue in cheek piece last week about whether dogs get better medical care than their humans.

I would highly recommend his book "Life at the Bottom." It is shocking but gives one man's common sense perspective on a lot of the social ills you've mentioned.
