After watching him for a very long 90 minutes tonight for Sweden, my hopes are on their backsides!
with big valuations of him, i expected him to at least look a footballer!
he never threatened once!
in the words of David Pleat he looks to be carrying a bit of timber! even so i'd be put off if i were Megson, by tonight!

He's looked like that in every game he's played in euros. God only knows how toulouse felt he was worth 21mill in january. In fairness he has been playing on right so he might offer somat different up front but even with the recent 5mill quoted id steer clear too, unless he can improve like 100% when playing upfront.

Agreed, in the three games he played he has looked terrible, although being played out of position.
I think he came on as a sub in the first game and didn't get much playing time but from what I've seen I'd set my sights on somebody else.

i have never heard of him ? is he any good He has an pretty good goalscoring record but apart from that alls i have to judge him off would be his performance in the euros which was average at best. But that was only 2 and abit games played out of position so unfair to judge him on that. |

 so he could be a good signing or a big flop then  we need to get a good goalscorer who can put away all the chances we waste if we do that i reckon we can get uefa cup again

I do know enough about this guy to say he definatly is not worth 4.5mill. He had one good tournement in Euro 2004 and since then has done absolutly nothing. If it was a loan or up to say 2mill then it might be a worthwhile signing but not for 4.5mill. Woo, just noticed, 100th post! |

maybe he justs needs a club with shíte strikers to make him feel like he is more important to them then he might try hard and you never know go back to the old amazing form my freind just told me about could be worth while signing but i reckon 2-3 mil max  ors its a rip off and we might end up paying wages for a other striker he cant score |

Seriously though, if he could recapture his 2004 form he'd be amazing for us but to be honest i dont think he ever could. |

everypone deserves a chance tho maybe thats all he needs time and a new start how gutted would you feel if we dint sign him then someone else did and he recaptured his form  you would be crying i say give him a chance if megson buys him im backing him all the way

for 1 he was played out of position at the euros and still didnt look half as bad as one player i can think of who joined us on loan from a championship team in January. wouldnt pay over the odds though, 7mil seems slightly over the top but better than the 21mil quoted in january |
