With voting for your 2016/17 Bolton Wanderers Player of the Year now open, we review the campaign of award nominee Josh Vela.
Without doubt, Vela has enjoyed the most productive season of his young career so far, having adapted from a utility player under former boss Neil Lennon into an energetic midfielder that once made him a target of Liverpool.
Under Phil Parkinson, Vela has been a near ever-present in a side challenging for promotion to the Championship, having very few off-days in the process after firmly establishing himself in the senior set-up at Macron Stadium.
The 23-year-old is expected to be at the centre of attention in the off-season, regardless of which division Wanderers find themselves in from August, but with his deal still having two years left to run, Vela is likely to attract a hefty price tag in the event the club decide to cash in on their promising academy graduate.
At the time of publication, Vela has made 51 appearances for Wanderers this season and has scored 10 goals - putting him on course for the club's Golden Boot award.
Polls for YOUR 2016/17 Bolton Wanderers Player of the Year will remain open until 5pm on April 28, 2017. Has Vela earned your vote? Make your selection by using the poll in the right-hand column of the website.
