Michael Jones will take charge of Bolton's FA Cup tie against Sunderland on Saturday afternoon.
Sunderland will be the first Premier League opposition to visit the Reebok Stadium since Wanderers were relegated from the top flight last May, with Dougie Freedman's looking to record their first win over the Black Cats in nine attempts.
Jones, who will referee the 144th meeting between the two sides, has taken charge of 18 matches so far this season. In total, he has issued 55 yellow cards and two red.
His last outing was at Carrow Road last Saturday, where English champions Manchester City recorded a 4-3 victory over Norwich City. Jones issued four yellow cards in that game and also showed a red card to Man City's Samir Nasri.
Jones, who originates from Chester, last took charge of Sunderland on November 3rd - as they lost 1-0 at home to Sunderland. The official produced five yellow cards at the Stadium of Light. His last game involving Bolton was last April, when Wanderers slipped to a 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United at St James' Park.
The 44-year-old was in charge when Bolton played host to Sunderland in last season's Premier League fixture, where goals from Stephane Sessegnon and Nicklas Bendtner gave the visitors all three points.
Below is a full list of officials for Saturday's fixture:
